This small selection from his ‘Past Perfect’ exhibition, are narrative
images from the 1950’s and ‘60’s. .Although they are a mere fraction of his creative output, following the example of the great pioneers of the genre, for twenty years Chillingworth’s highly individual style brought a fresh dimension to the photography of people and events. They were, in fact, a creative ‘bridge’ between those pioneers and the teeming host of today’s multi-talented professional photographers. The faces of the famous and the unknown, part of his ‘Past Perfect’ collection, have been exhibited widely in the south and west of England.
